AARON WALCHUK
BARRISTER & SOLICITOR

Aaron, a recent addition to Cates Ford Soll & Epp, brings a unique blend of experiences and a fresh perspective to the practice of law. Hailing from the charming town of McBride, B.C., Aaron’s journey led her to Calgary, Alberta before settling down in Kamloops.

An accomplished vocalist, Aaron’s talents graced the stage for the 2010 Olympics, among other national and international events, while she trained and performed with the Young Canadians of the Calgary Stampede. Simultaneously, she demonstrated her prowess in sports as she played rugby at both provincial and national levels.

Before embarking on her legal career, Aaron explored a multitude of industries, ranging from her role as a flight attendant to her experiences in the oil and gas sector as a heavy equipment operator and safety officer. She even delved into the realm of genetic research. These diverse experiences have equipped her with a multifaceted perspective, enabling her to approach legal challenges with unique and efficient solutions.

In addition to her extensive work background, Aaron earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Sciences from Simon Fraser University in 2018, underscoring her commitment to a comprehensive understanding of complex issues. During her time at law school at Thompson Rivers University, Aaron was actively involved in various clubs, including the Environmental Law Club, the Business Law Club, and the TRU Law Golf Club. Her passion for sports continued as she captained the rugby team and played on the slow-pitch, dodgeball, and hockey teams. Notably, she represented TRU Law in the 2019 UBC Environmental Negotiation Competition and showcased her oral advocacy skills as an oralist in the 2022 Donald G.H. Bowman National Tax Moot. During her second year of law school, Aaron also earned a Certificate in Entertainment Law from Osgoode Hall Law School, highlighting her versatility and commitment to professional development.

Aaron’s vast experiences and interdisciplinary education provide a foundation for her client-centric approach. She recognizes that each client comes with a unique story, and she is dedicated to providing tailored and effective solutions to their legal needs.

Beyond the courtroom and office, Aaron may be found on the rugby field, in her garden or on one of Kamloops many lakes.

As a dynamic addition to the team, Aaron’s dedication and diverse background make her a valuable asset to the firm and the clients she serves.
